The City of McDonough offers residents and guests many convenient opportunities to shop and dine. McDonough's commercial districts can be accessed via exits 221, 218, and 216 on I-75. And the historic downtown district is just 2.5 miles east of the interstate.
Downtown McDonough and its Square is a very special place. Rooted in history, the city's central business district is the heart of the community. The Henry County Courthouse features prominently, adjacent to the Square's park-like setting. The Square is home to some of the community's favorite local shops and restaurants. In addition, its location at the intersection of State Routes 42, 155, 20, and 81 places it directly in the path of high-volume commuter traffic for Henry County residents and those passing through on a daily basis.
