The Downtown Development Authority directs economic development efforts in the historic central business district. The DDA, with City staff direction, will identify redevelopment opportunities around McDonough Square. 

The DDA is appointed by the Mayor and Council and will utilize special tools and powers to leverage public and private resources to bring investment to areas of need. The City's Business Development Director, acts as the Secretary/Treasurer for the DDA. 

The DDA Board will focus on completing tasks outlined in the Downtown Action Plan (PDF) along with creating new opportunities to increase activity and development.
