UGHS Students Visit City Hall

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Union Grove High School students visited McDonough City Hall on Wednesday, March 19th to get a hands-on look at the various departments within City Hall, what their responsibilities are as well as an informative talk by Mayor Billy Copeland. City Clerk Janis Price met the group upon their arrival and led the student tour.

Mayor Copeland spoke with the group of high school students gathered in the Council Chambers on the second floor welcoming them to City Hall and explaining some of the responsibilities of the office of Mayor and those of the City Council. He also informed them that just as they celebrate birthdays, the City of McDonough would celebrate its 185th birthday during the ladder part of this year.
