08-13-09 Main Street Ribbon Cut & Facade Grant La Di Das

If bright colors and a cheery atmosphere are a drawing card, La Di Das is filled with both making it the perfect place to shop. La Di Das is located at 41 Keys Ferry Street, across from Thompson’s Market, and is the colorful creation of business owner Carla Ferguson. Although the man at the paint store wasn’t sure about Ms. Ferguson’s choice of pink, lime green, and dark brown for sprucing up the inside, the results would please even him. Customers can shop for purses, totes, baby items, jewelry, and more. Have everything monogrammed which La Di Das is glad to do for their customers.

The Main Street McDonough Program held a ribbon cutting on August 13th to officially open the shop for business. Main Street Director Linda Schenk, accompanied by Mayor Billy Copeland and Main Street volunteers, also presented Ms. Ferguson with a reimbursement check for having submitted a façade grant application, having met all requirements, and having been approved.

The Façade Grant Improvement Program is a reimbursement grant offered to businesses and commercial property owners located within the Main Street District. Through this program, applicants may be reimbursed up to 50% of the cost of improved renovations not to exceed a maximum amount of $2500 per applicant. Reimbursements are based on availability of funds.

La Di Das is open 10:00 a.m.—6:00 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesday, and Thursdays; 10:00 a.m.—7:00 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays; and 10:00 a.m.—4:00 p.m. on Saturdays. Stop by or call 770-957-3500.
