Main Street Calendar of Events

The Main Street McDonough Program presents Music on the Square with featured entertainers the Sean Shuffler Band from 7-10:00 p.m. Pack up the family and gather on the McDonough Square for this free event. Bring the chairs or a blanket, a picnic basket, or order from one of our great restaurants. Then it’s time to kick back for the smooth sounds of the Sean Shuffler Band on a mellow summer evening on the Square.

The Main Street McDonough Program welcomes the Mackie Creek Band to Music on the Square. This popular local band drives home a sound that is reminiscent of the music many folks grew up singing, swinging and swaying to. All ages, all generations will enjoy MCB.

Wink Keziah and Delux Hotel will bring a get-down-country-sound to the stage of the Main Street McDonough Program’s September Music on the Square. Park the tractor, leave the back 40 behind, get that Saturday night bath, put on your favorite jeans, boots and John Deere cap. Then head to the McDonough Square to join the rest of the country music lovers gathered on the Square for some cool country on a hot night.

The Main Street McDonough Program presents the always popular Chili Cook-off on the Square. Join the chili lovin’ crowd that will gather to taste some mighty delicious chili made from favorite recipes by great cooks for 2 solid hours. Chili will be made on sight, and judging will take place at 5:00 p.m. Judges will vote for their 3 top favorites, and the crowd will vote for the People’s Choice winner. Lots of fun for everyone!

Main Street’s final Music on the Square for this season will begin at 6:00 p.m. featuring The Northface Band playing favorites from the 50’s through today’s alternative sounds. Spend the day on the McDonough Square shopping, enjoying the festivities at the Chili Cook-off, then settling back for an evening of Music on the Square.
