The City Council Meetings scheduled for May 18, 2020, and for June 4, 2020, have been cancelled due to Gov. Kemp’s April 30, 2020, Executive Order to extend the “Public Health State of Emergency” until June 12, 2020.
City Hall and other government buildings will open to the public on June 1, 2020 from 9:00 am to 4:00 PM. Employees will report at their regular scheduled time. Beginning next week, a mask will be required and your temperature taken to enter a government building in the City.
Councilmember Sandra Vincent, who was elected to the Council in 2005, attended Tuskegee University, as a Political Science major, and is a Charter Class graduate from AIM Biblical Studies Institute. She has worked in government for over twenty years, with combined expertise in community, economic development, housing, and human resources. She is an advocate for the arts, historic preservation, downtown revitalization, and overall quality of life. She is the mother of four daughters.
