GOVERNOR'S EMERGENCY ORDER, EFFECTIVE APRIL 3, 2020, AND EXPIRING APRIL 13, 2020 - EXPLANATION IS ATTACHED TO THE ORDER

  • All water cut-offs are suspended until further notice
  • The $5.00 fee charge for electronic water payments will be credited back to each account
  • All City government buildings remain closed to the public until further notice
  • If your phone call isn’t answered promptly, please leave a message and your call will be returned
  • There will be no cut-offs in the month of April and no late fees will be charged in April for commercial and residential customers.
  • All City parks and restrooms are closed until further notice.

Rufus Stewart

Councilmember Rufus Stewart was born and raised in the City of McDonough. He is a graduate of Henry County High School and Atlanta Area Technical School. His son, Genaro, is serving in the United States Military and is stationed in Washington, D.C. He has been employed by Snapper Power Equipment for thirty-nine years. He has served on the City Council since 1989; twenty-three consecutive years. Mr. Stewart is a lifelong and active member of Shiloh Baptist Church, serving as the Superintendent of Sunday School, on the Deacons Board, and in the mass choir.
