The City of McDonough financial transparency portal provides citizens and employees direct access to the City’s financial information. This interactive tool, hosted by OpenGov, allows taxpayers, staff and others to quickly explore the City’s current and historical revenue and expenditures data. With a click of the mouse, users can create, analyze, and download customized reports summarizing financial information. This resource is a part of the City of McDonough’s ongoing efforts to enhance transparency and public involvement in city government.
The portal allows you to explore budget and historical finances in a simple graphical user interface.
The title of the chart or graph is reflected on the top along with the account type selector.
To pinpoint specific data- such as fund, department, expense type, or any combination use the selector tab. The selector tab to the left of the scene allows you to specifically choose the breakdown of the data by using the “Filter By” option.
There are five different types of visual representation for the data- an area graph, pie chart, table, bar graph and percentage graph.
