Zoning and Land Use
The City of McDonough planning staff guide applicants, citizens, and other outside agencies through all phases of the development review process as they relate to zoning regulations. Zoning regulations are land use regulations and policies that implement community goals and protect community resources while guiding new development. Zoning regulations affect all new construction, most alterations, commercial occupancy changes, property line changes and most site development activity
The Community Development Department is currently working with our GIS staff to develop an updated zoning map. We anticipate the documents completion and availability to the public in February 2014. In the interim, please call Tina Tebo at 678-432-4622 or email: email@example.com if you have questions regarding zoning for a particular property.
