In recent years, Georgia has become a hotbed of film and television projects. McDonough is a dynamic venue for any type of filmed entertainment. The City features a historic Square and neighborhoods, diverse housing and business types, rural landscapes, and a film-friendly atmosphere.
Recent projects filmed in McDonough include Tyler Perry’s “A Madea Christmas” and ABC Television’s “Resurrection.”
The City adopted a Media Production Ordinance to provide a framework to successfully partner with media entities. Please review the ordinance and application materials linked below:
Permitting is required for most film and television productions on public and private property. News media, personal (family) filming events, and those projects that take place in a licensed studio business within the city limits are exempt from permitting requirements.
