 DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH NOTICES

GOVERNOR'S EMERGENCY ORDER, EFFECTIVE APRIL 3, 2020, AND EXPIRING APRIL 13, 2020 - EXPLANATION IS ATTACHED TO THE ORDER

                                               APRIL 5, 2020 PROCLAIMED AS DAY OF PRAYER AND FASTING

  • All water cut-offs are suspended until further notice
  • The $5.00 fee charge for electronic water payments will be credited back to each account
  • All City government buildings remain closed to the public until further notice
  • If your phone call isn’t answered promptly, please leave a message and your call will be returned
  • There will be no cut-offs in the month of April and no late fees will be charged in April for commercial and residential customers.
  • All City parks and restrooms are closed until further notice.

The Downtown Development Authority directs economic development efforts in the historic central business district. The DDA, with City staff direction, will identify redevelopment opportunities around McDonough Square. The DDA is appointed by the Mayor and Council and will utilize special tools and powers to leverage public and private resources to bring investment to areas of need. The City's Business Development Director, acts as the Secretary/Treasurer for the DDA.  The DDA Board will focus on completing tasks outlined in the Downtown Action Plan along with creating new opportunities to increase activity and development.
