The City of McDonough offers residents and guests many convenient opportunities to shop and dine. McDonough's commercial districts can be accessed via exits 221, 218, and 216 on I-75. And the historic downtown district is just 2.5 miles east of the interstate.

McDonough Square
Downtown McDonough and its Square is a very special place. Rooted in history, the city's central business district is the heart of the community. The Henry County Courthouse features prominently, adjacent to the Square's park-like setting. The Square is home to some of the community's favorite local shops and restaurants. In addition, its location at the intersection of State Routes 42, 155, 20, and 81 places it directly in the path of high-volume commuter traffic for Henry County residents and those passing through on a daily basis.

The premier shopping destination in Henry County. South Point features all your favorite name-brand retailers and is adding even more as the economy improves. JC Penny, Kohl's, Academy Sports + Outdoors, Rooms To Go, Toys R Us, TJ Maxx, Hobby Lobby and more! Look for new restaurants and retail shops soon!

Shoppes at Lake Dow
This shopping center is anchored by a Publix Super Market. The center includes a Walgreen's, Suntrust, Chevron Fuel Center, and several inline retail businesses including Subway and Great Clips. Across the street are McDonald's and Zaxby's. The center is close to Heritage Park & Event Center as well as the McDonough Public Library and the Henry County Senior Center. A new Chick-fil-A restaurant is planned on the adjacent parcel and will open in 2014.
