1. The City has three different applications. Choose the correct application to complete depending on the position for which you are applying.

All Police applications are to be submitted to the Police Department at 50 Lawrenceville Street, McDonough, GA.

Water Distribution and Sewer Collection
The Water Distribution and Sewer Collection Department has an opening for a full-time equipment operator. This position performs all equipment operation work in the maintenance of the City’s water distribution and sewer collection system.
Major duties: Operates gasoline and diesel-powered automotive and heavy equipment, light to medium duty trucks, tractors, backhoes, excavators, and various machines, tools and power equipment; chipper truck, bush hog, street sweeper; performs daily inspections on maintenance vehicles and equipment used on the job; documents and records missing equipment and/or needed repairs; checks and maintains equipment, trucks, trailers and power tools; responds to and participates in emergency and stand-by calls on a 24-hour basis; works with crews to properly secure work zone with proper signage and precautions;
Minimum qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent; one (1) to two (2) years related experience; valid State of Georgia Class C license with Class B preferred or ability to obtain Class B within 6 months; Water Distribution and Sewer Collection licenses preferred; satisfactory motor vehicle report; pass employment physical, drug and alcohol test; acceptable criminal history; equivalent combination of education and experience.
Hourly rate: $13.65 per hour (opportunity for certification increases)
