All Police applications are to be submitted to the Police Department at 50 Lawrenceville Street, McDonough, GA.

The City of McDonough is accepting applications for the position of Laborer in the Public Works Department. This work is manual work involving physical labor.
Major duties: Responsible for cutting grass, raking leaves, and removing trash and other debris in City rights-of-way and City property; chip limbs; patch pot holes and perform other tasks in repairing streets; maintain and repair equipment. Occasional after hour work may be required for certain City events or emergencies.
Knowledge and abilities: Ability to operate and maintain a variety of lawn maintenance equipment and tools; ability to perform heavy manual labor and lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs; ability to operate department vehicles and maintain required licenses; ability to perform minor repairs to City buildings.
Qualifications: high school diploma or GED is required; valid Georgia Driver’s License; satisfactory MVR; pass pre-employment physical and drug and alcohol test; satisfactory criminal history, some experience in related field helpful.
