Main Street Presents Façade Check
To Secret Garden

The Main Street McDonough Program presented a façade grant reimbursement check to Joan Wheat, owner of Secret Garden, on Wednesday, September 22nd for the recent renovations completed on the front exterior of the building housing her business.

Those present to celebrate the presentation included: (L-R) employee Susi Greene; Main Street Director Linda Schenk; McDonough Mayor Billy Copeland; shop owner Joan Wheat; City Councilmember Wayne Smith; and Vicki Myers with the Bank of North Georgia.

The Façade Grant Improvement Program is a reimbursement grant offered to businesses and commercial property owners located within the Main Street District. Through this program, applicants may be reimbursed up to 50% of the cost of improved renovations not to exceed a maximum amount of $1000 for an exterior front and $500 for an exterior rear renovation per applicant. Funds are provided by the Main Street McDonough Program, and reimbursements are based on availability of funds.

Secret Garden is open Monday-Saturday, 10:00am-5:00pm, offering shoppers a variety of unique home and gift items as well as a large selection from the shop’s popular Vera Bradley collection. Many new fall home and gift items are currently on display. For more information call 678-432-6888.
