Ribbon Cutting for raising cupcakes
Besides raising cupcakes, this shop is also raising the sweet aromas of good things baking on the east side of the McDonough Square. The McDonough Main Street Program held a ribbon cutting for this new bakery shop, located at 18 Macon Street, on June 17 to mark the official opening with the ceremonial cutting of the red ribbon.
Pictured at the ceremony are: Councilmember Wayne Smith (Third from Right, Front Row); owners and also sisters Chrispian Hall (Second from Left, Front Row), Nicole Baker (Third from Left, Front Row), and Frederica Clay (Second from Right, Front Row); Main Street Director Linda Schenk (Left, Back Row) and other Main Street board and committee members along with the remaining shop employees joined in to celebrate the occasion.
raising cupcakes is open Monday, 10am-6pm; Tuesday—Thursday, 9am-6pm; Friday, 10am-8pm; and Saturday, 8am-4pm. Owners Chrispian, Nicole, and Frederica invite everyone to stop by Tuesday through Saturday and have a delicious sweet treat. The cupcakes and other specialty selections are baked fresh daily. Nicole, one of the owners, says they are just like momma would make. For more information call 770-957-6155 or visit raisingcupcakes.net.
