Bliss Receives Façade Reimbursement
Check from Main Street Program
Open the door, and the sweet aroma of homemade cakes and bakery cupcakes reaches out, titillating the taste buds, definitely making customers glad they chose to stop by Bliss, 20 Macon Street, McDonough, for a sweet treat.
On June 9th, co-workers and customers joined owner Shelley DeLisle, Main Street Director Linda Schenk, and Councilmember Wayne Smith, standing in for Mayor Billy Copeland who was out of town, for a façade reimbursement check presentation to this new business for the exterior improvements that have been completed on the front of the building. Councilmember Smith congratulated Ms. DeLisle on her new business and wished her good luck as he officially resented her with the façade check provided by the McDonough Main Street Program.
The Façade Grant Improvement Program is a reimbursement grant offered to businesses and commercial property owners located within the Main Street District. Through this program, applicants may be reimbursed up to 50% of the cost of improved renovations not to exceed a maximum amount of $2500 per applicant. Reimbursements are based on availability of funds.
Bliss is open Tuesday-Saturday, 10:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. creating custom novelty and wedding cakes, bakery cupcakes, teaching decorating classes, and even selling gift items and decorating products.
