Elected Mayor Pro Tem
McDonough City Council member Rufus Stewart has been on the Council for over 20 years quietly serving District I and continually keeping an ear to the wants and needs of his constituents.
Council member Stewart is now the Mayor Pro Tem for the City Council by a unanimous vote at the January 5, 2012 Council Workshop. The newly elected Mayor Pro Tem thanks the other Council members for their faith in him and their vote.
He was subsequently congratulated by Mayor Billy Copeland, his fellow Council members and those present for the Workshop.
